Normalcy

I kept wanting to do some art of the "normal-verse AU" that Alt and Ezra have been involved in, but I never really got around to it... >__> UNTIL NOW!!! XD
It looks kind of like a poster to a drama~! lolol

You would think that in a normal world without super powers, Alt's life would be a lot better since he's not cursed as a demon, but no! I saddle him with the demon of addiction on top of the mood disorder. >___>


Brief story summary:
- Ezra's parents don't divorce so there's a lot of home life tension
- Alt's parents divorce after Alt's mother's past of prostitution comes to light
- Alt is bullied a lot because word gets out about his mom, and he gets depressed and falls in with the wrong crowd and abuses drugs as escapism
- Alt and Ezra know of each other in school, but aside from working on one lab together (mostly Ezra doing the work because Alt couldn't focus), they're just acquaintances (though Alt does have a crush on him)
- Ezra does well in school and continues onto college and Alexis doesn't die (though I think she may be having an emotional affair with Dr. Evans.. >__> )
- Alt has to drop out of school due to severe mental health issues to go to rehab, but eventually gets a job as a cook at a restaurant years later
- Alt and Ezra meet up again at the restaurant, and they eventually hook up on a casual basis and have great chemistry together
- Alt finds that they are getting too close and comfortable, and tries to break it off to save them both the trouble
- Alt has an emotional meltdown and Ezra tries to keep an eye on him and their relationship becomes very on-off for a while
- Alt finds out his mom has Ezra's father as one of her clients and this causes many issues
- Alt and Ezra somehow get through this by ignoring it and focusing on some vague future together, and sign a lease for a condo together
- Alt and Ezra have some kind of argument and Ezra heads off to sleep at his sister's place while Alt sulks and starts barhopping to drown himself in alcohol
- Arkos sees Alt drinking away and invites him to party with her and they end up sleeping together
- Alt freaks out when he wakes up the morning after and he tries to kill himself multiple times
- Alt goes to hospital and then to a rehab center where he struggles to stick to the program and often refuses to see his family when they come to visit, though he on occasion attempts to call Ezra to apologize
- Alt's father is informed about his situation and decides he wants to be in Alt's life again, and this new support helps Alt become more productive in his treatment
- Alt's father dies in a car accident on his way to visiting him
- Alt spirals back out of control and cuts contact from everyone as he can't deal with his emotions; he is constantly sedated to keep him from panic and self-harm
- inheritance and legal battles ensue between Alt's mother and his father's second wife, which becomes public
- Ezra goes through the motions and heads into law school to become a lawyer just like his mom wanted, worrying about Alt in the back of his mind as he starts reviewing court documents to do with Alt's case
- Rammey and Robby hook up as like.. the one bright spot in this whole sad story >_>

So here is Alt in a hospital gown at a rehab center. He's bandaged because of the multiple injuries he's endured from attempts at harming himself. He's staring at a sketch Soco drew for him of Ezra.
Behind is Ezra in a suit looking at legal papers or documents or something. He's doing very well for himself academically/career-wise!
And then I decided to add some floating heads of minor characters! From left to right:
Annie (normal-verse AU of Allie, who is Alt's former co-worker who really cares for him and feels she has unrequited feelings toward him)
Soco (psychology student who meets Alt and befriends him for the few weeks she helps out at the center)
Robby (Ezra's friend/boyfriend from highschool who still looks him up to hang out when he comes back from out of state)
Vincent (bartender who Ezra occasionally vents to, and who happens to be a former classmate of Ezra's sister, Linda)
And then shadow blobs of people who represent everyone else that I was too lazy to draw but definitely play a role, most notably, Alt and Ezra's families. XD

I drew this on the bus to and from work~ Obviously the colours were added when I got back home!

ALSO IT WAS ~MyDearBasil's birthday.. SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY! XD
