'draw something cool' - ok so here's Kat

I was reminded by ~LilWicky's drawing of Max doing Breast Cancer Awareness pic fav.me/d6rm8p0 and some pics making rounds on tumblr that I was musing on one of my characters living through breast cancer.. and so.. .. >_>
Obviously I picked a character who was mainly human but also tough enough to get through the ordeal, so Kat made the most sense.

So the story goes that in the timeskip, when she's older in her late 30s or early 40s, she gets diagnosed with breast cancer, which really puts a damper on her career and heroic vigilantism. It wasn't something she expected to happen, as she was pretty much in peak physical condition for her age and was even blessed with extra protection from her adopted fae sister, Cia. Cia felt like she let her down somehow, and Kat felt like her body betrayed her, and even wondered if maybe some villain had caused this and questioned a lot of things in her life. It was a tough time and she had to go through chemo and get her left breast surgically removed.

She was out of commission for a while as she had to regain her strength after all the treatments and surgery, but like many survivors, she stood back up on her own two feet with the helping hands of many supporters and loved ones. And then she returns to kick butt in all areas with even greater fervor. Because once you bounce back from losing enough health to nearly take your way of life away, you wanna make sure you get as much done as possible before anything like that happens again. :]
