Alt really wants to get married, have a family, live a idyllic life with his loved ones, etc.. (but am I ever gonna let that happen? Hwahaha~)
He'd try really hard to be a good father, but his lifestyle and his emotional instability makes him a loving but.. inconsistent one. He's often away for long stretches of time or on the verge of emotionally breaking down, and it's inevitable that he would break down in front of Aria sometimes.
Altaire's deathly afraid that his kids would resent him for being so weak, but I think it's more likely that Aria would just grow more protective of him and even decide to be strong for his sake.

Also, Heimdl is not happy that I am entertaining these thoughts because he is very.. anti-children. LOL
