So this is my entry into the crossover contest!
Here is Horizon in Kirito's costume, but instead of it being just black-purply, I decided to change it a bit to be more green to reflect her own colours more. She also is holding her razor sword instead of the one Kirito has. I think she already looks 2x as badass as Kirito. lol
Zenith is in Asuna's costume, but I changed all the red parts to the bright blue that Zenith usually wears, and instead of a sword, since Zenith doesn't use weapons and only magic, I turned the sword into Pocky. LOL Apparently magic doesn't really exist in the Sword Art Online universe, so Cia's going to be a little bit screwed since that's all she has originally and will have to depend on Horizon to protect her more than usual. XD

Let's say that Kat (Horizon) and Cia (Zenith) both decides to try out this new awesome VR MMORPG one day and ended up stuck in the world like all the other Sword Art Online characters. After a while, they realized that this Kirito and Asuna pair seemed to know what they were doing and started following them around and imitating their moves, down to the equipment! Obviously, Kirito and Asuna are kind of annoyed or weirded out by these stalkers, but hey, a gal's gotta do what a gal's gotta do to survive out here!

I was lazy so I kind of stole the pose from the reference image, and they aren't really doing anything but posing, so I probably won't win, but it was fun!

I don't actually know much about the anime / light novel series, but when I asked my sister what was popular these days, she said Sword Art Online. And when I asked her if it would be recognizable, she said yes.. even though the both of us only saw one episode and stopped because it seemed like it was going into the direction of a harem anime and we think those suck. XD

SGPA CROSSOVER 2012 CONTEST DETAILS

THEME:
Make a picture of your character dressed up as an iconic videogame or anime character! Or have them interact with the characters from the other universe! (Try not to pick a character so obscure that hardly anyone will know who it is! lol). This will be great for Halloween since it involves dressing up your characters anyway!

RULES
- OPEN TO ALL SGPA MEMBERS THAT HAVE AN ACTIVE CHARACTER (you updated to a new profile!)
- Draw your original character(s) dressed up as an iconic videogame or anime character OR trying to fit in with that other universe (similar clothing and weapons). You can include more than one OC in the image!
- CHOOSE animes or videogames that are not totally obscure and rare. They should be popular enough that some people will recognize it immediately or is VERY EASY to google.
- INCLUDE the character(s) from the crossover in the image. Hopefully they are interacting with your characters.
- 1 entry PER ARTIST into PER CATEGORY! (Videogame crossover, Anime Crossover, or Jumbled Mess). This means you can have up to 3 entries.
- Image should be in full colour! The characters are all coloured. The background is all coloured.
- Have some kind of background scenery in the image. THIS MEANS AN ENVIRONMENTAL CONTEXT! Not just a wallpaper or blank wall or pattern. We have to be able to tell where the characters are! Characters are not just floating around in nothingness. For example: Outdoors there is a sky, a terrain, and possibly trees or animals. Indoors there is a floor, wall, and possibly furniture.
- The artwork should be ALL NEW for the contest
- Include your character's alias (their hero/villain TITLE, and you can include their real name too), what they are (hero, villain, or NPC), and a link to the SGPA group ( :iconsgpa: ) in the description.
- Include the name of the crossover anime(s) or game(s) and the characters you have drawn in the description. TELL US WHAT CATEGORY YOU ARE SUBMITTING IN.
- BONUS POINTS for those of you that try to explain how the crossover happened (again, comics are really good for explaining and showing interactions and stuff). Also bonus points for showing something actually happening or the characters doing something instead of a character just standing around doing nothing or posing for the camera.
- All original artwork encouraged! Try your best, everyone!
- If you must use a base, change ALL THE FACIAL FEATURES (eyes, eyebrow, nose, & mouth shapes!), and a link to the base used should be provided in the description, of course! CREDIT EVERYTHING.
- NO RULE SKIRTING. If we think you are trying to get away with stuff by saying things like:
"they are in black and white only because they fell into white paint"
"there is no background because they are in a pitch black cave"
"the characters from the crossover universe are these tiny specks in the corner because they drank a shrinking potion"
"I don't know how to put any links and I don't remember where all my references came from and I don't know any of the character's names"...
Your image will be immediately disqualified until you FIX IT. You need to put in more effort than that, folks!
- If you submit something and we find it's not eligible because you forgot some things, you can go back and fix it and resubmit it if it's still before the deadline.

VIDEOGAME CROSSOVER
Your OCs are crossing over with characters from ONE iconic or popular videogame. For example: Final Fantasy series, Gears of War series, Dragon Age series, Kirby Series, Tetris (lol). DO NOT PICK A VIDEOGAME BASED ON A MOVIE OR OTHER COMIC BOOK OR ANIME PROPERTY, PLEASE.

ANIME CROSSOVER
Your OCs are crossing over with characters from ONE iconic or popular anime. For example: Dragon Ball series, K-On series, Neon Genesis Evangelion series, Fate/Stay Knight series, Hello Kitty (lol). DO NOT PICK AN ANIME BASED ON A VIDEOGAME PLEASE.

JUMBLED MESS
You decided that you couldn't decide what to do so you ended up grabbing characters from multiple games or animes so that it became a jumbled crossover x crossover mess or the series you chose is already a crossover itself. For example: Smash Brothers series, Capcom x Marvel series, Sailormoon and Cooking Mama and Metal Gear Solid combined. YOU CAN GO CRAZY WITH THIS ONE.

- IT IS POSSIBLE TO WIN IN MORE THAN ONE CATEGORY


DEADLINES AND PRIZES
- If you would like to donate prizes, please tell me what you want to donate and in what category!
- Depending on the number of prizes contributed, there may be runner up prizes in each category!
- Voting will take place after the deadline. Depending on the number of entries, we will decide on how voting proceeds.
- If you are a prize contributor, you can still enter the contest! (Only founder and co-founders can't. lol)
- SUBMIT TO: the CROSSOVER 2012 folder!
- Deadline: October 31, 2012 @ 11:59pm EST! => EXTENDED to November 7!
